A versatile young pianist from Oregon, JOSEPH YUNGEN is a founding member of the faculty and administration of the New Jersey Young Artist Piano Competition. He is currently a C.V. Starr Doctoral Fellow at The Juilliard School where he studies with Jonathan Feldman. He holds Master of Music degrees in Piano Performance & Literature and Accompanying & Chamber Music from the Eastman School of Music, where he studied with Jean Barr and Douglas Humpherys.
ELIZABETH SMITH is a past District Winner of Metropolitan Opera Council Auditions, as well as a semifinalist in the 2012 Concert Artist's Guild Competition. While attending the Eastman School of Music, Elizabeth received the Renee Fleming award and Scholarship, and was selected to represent Eastman in the Conservatory Project at the Kennedy Center. In 2012 she received Second Place in the Friends of Eastman Opera Competition and Third Prize in the Jessie Kneisel Lieder Competition.
